I'm so in love with the new covers that are going to be appearing on the mass market versions of Sisters of Misery and The Lost Sister. They will be released in August and September in 2010 and hopefully readers will be able to find them EVERYWHERE!

Here they are!! (I feel like I'm betraying my first covers for loving these so much, but I really love the new ones!)

Teen Vogue article - FIGHT CLUB

Silly me, I totally forgot to add a link to the article in Teen Vogue that I was interviewed for about girl bullies. It was in the Dec/Jan issue of Teen Vogue (the one with a very grown up Dakota Fanning on the cover) and it was a feature article called FIGHT CLUB! I was interviewed as an expert on girl bullies because of my take on VERY mean girls in SISTERS OF MISERY and THE LOST SISTER. If you haven't read the article by Eva Chen, click here to read it. Or go out an buy a copy of Teen Vogue (if they are still on newstands). If not, I'm sure you can get them at your local library.

P.S. Just looking at the comments made me so happy to see that Teen Vogue readers were helped out by this article and made to feel like they aren't alone with their "best friend bullies". But one of the comments was a little upsetting. One girl admits to getting pure satisfaction from bullying others and that she did it not because she felt something lacking within herself, but that it was fun and she looked down at others. I think this girl needs to do some serious soul searching, because if making other people feel like crap is your idea of a good time, you need some serious help. (Or maybe a productive hobby? Maybe start volunteering and giving back instead of making people's lives worse? Just a thought.)

GCC Tours Suzanne Young and THE NAUGHTY LIST!

This week, the Girlfriend's Cyber Circuit is touring Suzanne Young's, THE NAUGHTY LIST.

About The Naughty List:

As if being a purrfect cheerleader isn’t enough responsibility! Tessa Crimson’s the sweet and spunky leader of the SOS (Society of Smitten Kittens), a cheer squad–turned–spy society dedicated to bringing dastardly boyfriends to justice, one cheater at a time. Boyfriend-busting wouldn’t be so bad . . . except that so far, every suspect on the Naughty List has been proven 100% guilty!

When Tessa’s own boyfriend shows up on the List, she turns her sleuthing skills on him. Is Aiden just as naughty as all the rest, or will Tessa’s sneaky ways end in catastrophe?

The Naughty List. Is your boyfriend on it?

Follow the squad at www.thecheaterreport.blogspot.com

Look out for series: The Naughty List-2/4/10, So Many Boys-6/10/10, A Good Boy is Hard to Find-10/2010

What bloggers are saying about The Naughty List:

www.bookchicclub.blogspot.com: "Suzanne Young's The Naughty List is a fast, original, and fun romp that fans of Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls series will surely enjoy! Tessa is a wonderful, relatable character full of depth, quirks, and heart. A sure-fire hit!"

www.thestorysiren.com: “Espionage, lively cheerleaders, and very naughty boys... equal one debut that I found unputdownable!”

www.sharonlovesbooksandcats.com: Holy cannoli! The Naughty List is one of the most adorable books I have ever read. Seriously people this book is just dripping in cuteness.”

About Suzanne Young

Suzanne Young is a brilliant scientist. Not really. But she is a former middle school teacher turned zookeeper (mother). When Suzanne's not fending off zombie squirrels or narrating her daughter's Barbie soap operas, she can be found camping on the Oregon coast or writing obsessively.

Suzanne is the author of The Naughty List series coming February 4th, 2010 from Razorbill/Penguin. The Naughty List is about a group of cheerleaders who investigate cheating boyfriends. Which Suzanne never did. Or at least, not that you can prove.

Welcome, Suzanne! My second novel, THE LOST SISTER, deals with revenge and the repercussions of what happens when a hazing incident goes too far.

1. First topic: Revenge. What is your experience with it? Have you ever sought
revenge? As the old adage goes, do you think that living well is the
best revenge?

I have.
Sometimes life really hurts you and you feel like you have to lash out. But a good friend told me that revenge would destroy me quicker than it would hurt someone else. And I knew it was true. Since then, I’m a big fan of turning the other cheek. Although I live by Ivana’s rules and say looking fabulous is the
best revenge.

2. Cliques and mean girls are everywhere. At book signings I've had everyone
from 12 year old girls to 45 year old women tell me they still encounter them.
Do you? How has it changed since you were a teen?

I have better self-esteem now. So when things like that happen to me, I take the time to figure out why. It’s helped me learn a lot about people. And it’s kept me out of trouble
.

3.What do you tell people is your favorite book/author? Now what is your
"real" favorite book/author. (i.e. I tell people Pale Fire by Nabokov is my fave, but right now I'm really into Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea.)

HAH! I love your honesty! Actually, I’m not sure I have a favorite anymore. I used to love Toni Morrison, but now I’m stoked on books like The Forest of Hands and Teeth.

4. If you could swap lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

If I had the energy, maybe Taylor Swift. But otherwise, maybe some celebrity that gets to sit on the beach all day. At least for a while.

5. As a publicist, I know that it's important for every novel to have journalistic hook. For The Lost Sister, it's mean girls, bullies and hazing. What's yours?

The Naughty List is about cheerleaders who investigate cheating boyfriends, but really it’s about trust, relationships, and the difficulty in trying to stay perfect.

6. Just because it hasn't been asked yet, favorite 1980's movie?

OH! Pretty in Pink! Closely followed by Howard the Duck. Just kidding.

7. Why should I choose your book for my book club?

I hope TNL portrays girls in a positive light. The book itself should a self-esteem boost and even though it’s wrapped up in a very shiny, pink package (scented too!) it’s got some real emotions behind it.

Thanks for answering my questions, Suzanne! And here's some more great news about Suzanne that was just released:

Suzanne Young's A NEED SO BEAUTIFUL, in which a 17-year-old discovers that by performing the good deeds that her body compels her to, she will disappear into the Light and be forgotten, but by fighting "the Need," her fate could be even more dire, to Donna Brayat Balzer and Bray, in a two-book deal, in a pre-empt, by Jim McCarthyat Dystel & Goderich Literary Management(World English).

Way to go, Suzanne!!!!
