A Day in the Life of a Writer

Everyone always asks me what a day in the life of a writer is like. Another frequently asked question is "How do you get your ideas?" Even though I've only been a published author for a short time, I've spent enough time around the writing folk to get a pretty good idea of what goes on in the offices and work areas of many writers. This is a secret that has been passed from one author to the next, and I am only now sharing with you the way that a writer works--the way he or she prepares to write the Great American Novel. Here is a glimpse into the secret world and inner mind of the writer. (Note: the writer is wearing the blue outfit).
